What We Love
A one of a kind pair of earrings, designed by Catbird using antique citrine from the collection of Vito Giallo — 93 year old artist, antiques dealer, and quintessential New Yorker.
Joseph Cornell was an American artist who lived most of his life on Utopia Parkway in Queens — he visited Mrs. Randolph’s shop (Vito’s mentor in the antiques trade) in pursuit of silk velvet backdrops for his jewel-like boxes.
Made in our Brooklyn studio using 100% recycled gold and responsibly sourced topaz.
In honor of our collaboration with Vito, the Catbird Giving Fund is proud to have made a donation of $40,000 to SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization in their mission to look out for LGBTQ+ elders.
Please note, these gems contain natural inclusions and imperfections which are consistent with their age and provenance. Each one was chosen by the Catbird team for their heritage and beauty.
