What We Love
Limited edition earrings, designed by Catbird using antique pearls from the collection of Vito Giallo — 92 year old artist, antiques dealer, and quintessential New Yorker.
Andrea Portago was a customer of Vito’s who once owned the blue and yellow cow by Andy Warhol that now hangs in his bathroom, tucked discreetly behind a door in true Vito style.
Made in our Brooklyn studio using 100% recycled gold and recycled diamonds.
In honor of our collaboration with Vito, the Catbird Giving Fund is proud to make a donation of $40,000 to SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization in their mission to look out for LGBTQ+ elders.
Please note, these gems contain natural inclusions and imperfections which are consistent with their age and provenance. Each one was chosen by the Catbird team for their heritage and beauty.

The Golden Rule of Pearl Care: "Last Thing On First Thing Off." Pearls are more vulnerable to the chemicals found in cosmetics, hair spray, hair dye, and perfume. And pearls do NOT like chlorine - neither in swimming pools or even regular showers. Pearls should ONLY be cleaned with a soft cloth moistened with water and the little bit of ivory soap.
